Vascularización del ligamento rotuliano

Resumen

Los autores investigan la microvascularización del ligamento patelar mediante el estudio histo­lógico y técnica de diafanización de Spalteholz en 8 rodillas de cordero. Los estudios microscó­picos demuestran un patrón microvascular simi­lar al del LCA, demostrándose en un caso la par­ticipación infrecuente de las inserciones óseas por la presencia de un vaso que comunicaba la red vascular endostal con la intraligamentosa. Asimismo, se ha confirmado la escasa vascula­rización central del ligamento y una menor con­tribución de los vasos procedentes del Hoffa en relación a las descripciones clásicas.

Abstract

The authors study the microvascularisation of the pa­tellar ligament using histological studies and the Spalteholz diaphanization technique in eight lamb knee joints. The microscopical studies show a mi­crovascular pattern similar to that of the ACL, and in a single case it has been possible to demons­trate the -infrequent- participation of bone inser­tions through the presence of a vessel joining the endosteal and the intraligamentous vessel net­works. We have also been able to confirm the very scarce central vascularisation of the ligaments and the lesser contribution of vessels arising from the Hoffa as relatad to the classical descriptions.
