Summary

La artroscopia de las pequeñas articulaciones de la mano constituye una indicación de creciente amplitud en cirugía ortopédica. Se describe la técnica artroscópica haciendo énfasis en los detalles que permiten un correcto acceso y visualización articular, así como en el emplazamiento adecuado de los portales. Se discuten las indicaciones más habituales en la actualidad y las posibilidades futuras. El objetivo de este artículo es poner de manifiesto que la técnica artroscópica en las articulaciones metacarpofalángicas es reproducible y posee diversas aplicación futuras.

Abstract

Arthroscopy of the small joints of the hand has achieved growing indications in orthopaedic surgery. The arthroscopic technique is described and the details that lead to a correct approach and visualization of the joint are emphasized, as well as the adequate placement of the portals. The most usual and current indications and the future possibilities are discussed. The aim of this paper is to point out that the arthroscopic technique in the metacarpophalangeal joints is reproducible and has several future applications.
